I want to major in music when I go to college and I want to become a music teacher. For anyone out there who is a music major; What college did you go to, to get your music major? And what college do you think is the best for music?

What I tell my students is that most Education programs are the same. There is little difference from one school to the next. Go to the school that gives you the best scholarship opportunities. If you are a instrumentalist or vocalist, audition for scholarships. See what schools stack scholarships. That means they let you have more than one scholarship. I know of a school in Arkansas that has quite a few of the instrumental students on scholarship who also have choir scholarships. Investigate several schools. Don't go to a "name" school because of said name. Education is education. The theories haven't changed in the last 100 years and no one school has a patent.

Good luck in your search.
