my parents want to buy a used cello for my little sister. what are the things i should look for when buying it?

Go to a reputable music dealer and let him/her help you.

Also, talk to the teacher, or people you know who are musicians. Yuor financial means will also dictate how much you spend on an instrument. It doesn't have to be the best quality, but it should be playable, so as not to frustrate the child. It's hard enough to keep children interested in most things.
