Hi!
I am a music student and I was wondering if anyone could give me some good advice on how to practice learning theory effectively.
Oh, and what is the difference between tuplets and duple meter?
How do you count it?
I have such a hard time putting my songs down on paper...I need help with rhythm too.
Thanks

learn the basics, then expand from there.

Basic being key signatures, the notes, the time signatures (as you said)

then move on to things like counterpoint, etc.

Good luck. Make note cards. If you read music, or play, or write music. It is easier to learn because you will use the knowledge.
