As a percussion player, I've never heard of an extended triangle solo.

1st of all, it is struck with a triangle beater, not a stick.

2ndly, yes, a 2 year could strike it, but could they strike it at the right time in the music? Could you, for that matter?

What is the point of your post? Bored? Go somewhere else.

Yhe triangle is a wonderful instrument, and when played properly, adds so much to a peice of music. There are a host of other such percussion instruments such as chimes, wood sticks, cymbals finger, cymbals, tambourine, dulcimer,( a stringed guitarlike instrument hammered with mallets), and a host of other seemingly simple implements. But ahh, the dimension these seemingly childish gadgets add to music. Many musicians have even used childrens' toy pianos with stunning results.Just listen to what the group "Stomp" does with common household items and garbage cans. Even the humblest things have a place in the world.

I am a fragment of my imagination

Actually a valid point, lots of fantastic musicians use very simple everyday objects to acheive a particular sound they require, e.g. Louis Armstrong - Tom waits. You try tapping a half full bottle of beer and then take a big drink and tap it again!
