I saw my GP (he specializes in mental health, if that’s a thing?) a year ago and after years of different medications for different “diagnoses†from other doctors, he suggested I most likely have bipolar 2. I’ve been on a small dosage of lamictal since then and I’ve seen wild improvements in my mood stability.
I have examples of hypomania (and delusions/hallucinations type things, I’m never sure if it’s real or not) and Online Psychiatrist depression that I have ready to share with them, but other than that, I’d like to go in somewhat prepared since this is my first time seeing someone in a dedicated mental health field. Any advice for a terrified me?

However, generally speaking, you can expect the psychiatrist to ask you a lot of questions about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. They may also ask you about your family history and any medical conditions you have. The psychiatrist will then use this information to try to understand your current situation and to make recommendations about treatment.
