For instance, the elements that makeup -45 are as follows: 1 and -45, 1 and 45; 3 and -15, and -15; 5 and -9, and -5 and 9; and so on. Because each of these component pairs, when multiplied together, generates a value of -45.
To find the factor of any integer you can use mycalcu.com. To factor a negative number, you must first determine all the positive factors that contribute to it, then duplicate those positive factors and place a negative sign in front of the duplicates. For example, the positive elements of the expression -3 are the numbers 1 and 3. So when you duplicate them, you get 1, 3, 1, 3; when you write a negative sign before the duplicates, you get 1, 3, 1, 3, which are all factors of 3.

Then, you would calculate the factors of 45, which are 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, and 45. However, since -45 is a negative number, you would also need to include the negative versions of these factors, which would be -1, -3, -5, -9, -15, and -45.
