I just recently did a mock exam in music and i found out that all the points i lost came from recognising instruments. is there an easy way of remembering what each instrument sounds like? please help. ive got my proper ones terrifyingly soon. i've tried bitesize but it doesnt seem to work for me
Start by learning to discern the basic instrument groups: string, woodwind, brass, percussion. Choose one group on which to focus. Learn which are the high sounding instruments in the group, and the low sounding instruments in the group. Then fill in the instruments in between. For the brass family, know that the trumpet will be at the high end, trombone and tuba at the low end. The French horn will be in the middle. Focus on learning the brass section before learning another instrument group. Good luck. www.ipracticemore.com
