My drummer and I have a dispute we were hoping someone here could settle.
here are some eight notes in a 4/4 measure:
1+2+3+4+
The Question is about the last "+"
Is the last "+" the "and" of 4 or is it the "and" of 1

It is the and of 4. There are a possible 8 eighth notes in a full measure of 4/4. Without that last and, there would only be 7.
