Hi everyone - I have just joined a choir as an alto but am not much good at reading music.....I need some sort of audio package to show me what the notes sound like so that I can get used to pitching them right - Middle C etc and the usual range that altos sing in so that when I see the note on the music sheet I can learn to know what is actually sounds like and then sing it correctly !! At the moment I have to listen to the person next to me and copy what she does but I would love to get to grips with this myself........Hope someone can help !!!!

Well, I think in the beginning of the year or later on, your teacher SHOULD hand you guys a booklet of notes for how to read music and play it on the piano and you sing it back to him/her. If he/she doesn't, then that's kind of weird because if you join choir the teacher should also teach you how to read music.
