How hard is it to read music to play the bronze bells? Which clef? Does each bell represent one note? How many bells does one person play?

Each bell is a separate note. Hand bell choir members play as few as one bell, or several, depending on the size of the choir, and the amount of required bells in a piece. I don't know if the lower notes descend into the bass clef, but I'm sure someone on this list can answer that one. When performed by an accomplished choir, it's some of the most beautiful music one can listen to.
