Registered: 3/20/2005 | posted: 6/29/2007 at 3:32:22 AM ET I suggest a steel string, rather than nylon, because of the more narrow and thinner neck on steel strings- most guitar teachers switch students steel strings to ultra-light ( 1st string should be size .010)because the thinner string needs less tension to get it up to the correct pitch.
A Google with bring up lists of guitar chords- a good technique is to play the G Maj chord usingfingers 23 and 4, rather than 12 and 3 as most chord charts list- it makes chord changing far easier.
