Knowing how to do something is not the same as doing something. Technique is the building block for theory. Just my opinion.

Registered: 5/14/2007 | posted: 6/5/2007 at 3:40:09 PM ET I personally think rightly or wrongly,that if you can represent your emotion through what you are playing and it sounds good to other people, you can play! But at the same time, is that whats called getting away with it? i.e. not understanding, what you are actually playing.
With regards to musical theory i need to understand more!
