what is the value of every note please help

whole note = 4 beats
half note = 2 beats
quarter note = 1 beat
eighth note = half a beat
sixteenth note = a quarter of a beat

32nd notes and beyond aren't commonly used, but I'm sure you can figure those out after you know the qualities of the basic notes.

And whenever a note has a dot after it, you add half the notes original quality. Like a dotted half note would be 3 beats.
