I have also been trying to find info on the Weimar clarinet, but without much luck. I took a risk and bought one for my child, once it has arrived I will let you know the quality.

I can find no information about Weimar instruments. This makes me suspect the quality. Instruments sold in discount stores tend to be of very poor quality. Repairmen WILL NOT WORK ON THEM. As a teacher of beginning band students, I insist that my students get good reputable brands. Even if they are used and in need of repair. At least they CAN be repaired.

Weimar have been around a long time here, I have seen some from the early 1920s in collections. They are well-regarded as a quality instrument, but are rarely seen now.
In fact, I didn't realise they were still being made.

Just guessing, but I would bet that someone is making a knockoff and using the old Weimar name.

Has anyone heard of a Weimar trumpet? I've been having some trouble finding information about this brand. I bid on one on Ebay and am not sure if I made a mistake or not. Thank you for your time and help regarding this subject.

Hi, I just purchased a Weimar flute on Ebay. There seems to be a few of us who have purchased from this person, as far as I can tell by reading your posts. Someone here said they've been around for decades, and possibly these are knockoffs. The person selling them is a power seller on Ebay and has thousands of sales with a fairly decent positive feedback score, so I bought it. It only came to $77.00 including shipping. They said the pads are american made and the tone & quality is suppose to be excellent. Hoping I didn't make a mistake. The only one selling this brand on Ebay or anywhere that I can tell, is this person and one other person selling 3 Weimar instruments. I suspect maybe purchased from the same seller I bought from. Urgggh! Really hope I did the right thing. Any comments from ya'll would be appreciated.
