what is the breif outline for gamelan music ? and what is "interlocking" ?

Gamelan is one of the instruments in an Indonesian classical orchestra, most of which consists of percussive instruments.
The Gamalan itself sounds not unlike a Marimba.
Interlocking, in the context of Gamalan music, refers to the complex rhythm patterns involved during performance.
