Pete Registered User From: North Coast NSW, Australia Registered: 3/20/2005 posted: 5/27/2006 at 1:45:28 AM ET Gamelan is one of the instruments in an Indonesian classical orchestra, most of which consists of percussive instruments. The Gamalan itself sounds not unlike a Marimba. Interlocking, in the context of Gamalan music, refers to the complex rhythm patterns involved during performance.
