Registered: 3/20/2006 | posted: 3/20/2006 at 8:21:28 AM ET I have no idea about reading music my child is just started high school doingmusic as has been for last 2 years without having homework all of a sudden hes expected to know a whole lot of stuff is there any internet sights that i can get the info he needs heres a sample of Qs how many quarter notes in asemibreve how maney notes in a crotchet how maney crotchets in a minim thats just the beginning and i'm afraid its dutch to me any books that teach absolute beginners this stuff preferably access to a web site thanks for your interest signed lost Mum

I'm guessing that you are from Enland from the terminology you used crotchets etc. - I'm not famililar with these terms.
However you might find this website helpful: www.abrsm.org - it also has a site like this one. Hope this helps. Let us know.
