I have no idea about reading music my child is just started high school doingmusic as has been for last 2 years without having homework all of a sudden hes expected to know a whole lot of stuff is there any internet sights that i can get the info he needs heres a sample of Qs how many quarter notes in asemibreve how maney notes in a crotchet how maney crotchets in a minim thats just the beginning and i'm afraid its dutch to me any books that teach absolute beginners this stuff preferably access to a web site thanks for your interest signed lost Mum

Welcome to the forum and hope your child passes the exams.

I'm guessing that you are from Enland from the terminology you used crotchets etc. - I'm not famililar with these terms.

However you might find this website helpful: www.abrsm.org - it also has a site like this one. Hope this helps. Let us know.
