On which type of instrument? The triads, 135, 1 b3 5, etc, remain the same. There are shortcuts for guitar and keyboard, for example.

There are posters which give a visual representation of all the piano chords and all the guitar chords.

I think I bought them both from Wal-Mart.

Thanks for replying. The reason for me asking about chords is because I have a uni exam that has chords in it and I just have no idea what I am doing. Like what is the easiest way to learn Major and Minor Scales? If anyone could help I would be so greatful. Those charts sound great but I live in Australia and we dont have wal-mart so I dont know where I could get them from over here

The Progressive range of music books, available at music stores throughout Australia list chords and explain the way they are constructed..or Boopadoo, which a Google search will find, has free Theory lessons.

The link is:

http://www.boopadoo.net

There are articles, pointers to free computer downloads, music, sheet music, coloring pages, and more. It's basically a portal for all the great kids' music resources I could find for free on the web. This month, there's also an exclusive interview with Laurie Berkner, a fantastic new musician featured on the Noggin network.

Cheers, and I hope you find it useful!
Kimberly
