HI, it's Wonderflute again. I have taken up trumpet on my uncle's old one, and I have encountered a problem. I have fixed it to some degree, but it's still messed up. I think it is the valves that are stopped up or something, but I really don't know. Could anybody think of the problem and the solution? I know it isn't just me, but some of the notes won't even let you hear any wind from air playing. Please help!

Are you even playing it right? Sometimes when you don't know how to play it that well it seems like its broken.

Hi I'm a trumpet player ways to fix the problem is:
check the valves are in the right way
oil the valves
clean the instrument out
or take it to a music shop and they'll be glad to help you out.

Do you have a music teacher? do check you are playing it right!

Sometimes when you play the trumpet wrong all that comes out is the sound of air. Especially if its your first time.
