Well I've finally decided that I want to play tenor saxophone, but they cost a lot of money(not including the lessons) I was thinking of teaching myself the basic notes of the tenor saxophone then get a professional in a year. Does anyone know any good music books that could help a beginner tenor saxophone player with a music back round of the trumpet for 5 years.

Hey I finnally got the tenor sax. It was really cheap ,but it plays really well. Now I'm helping out the jr. band at my school on saxophone instead of trumpet. I still like my trumpet, but I do enjoy learning a new instrument. I think the next instrument I will take up is the trombone. Any objections?

Yes us band geeks have to stay together. maybe we should start a club for band geeks. i have a few friends that are in band, but they are not really committed. they only come so they can hang out with me before practice. I am the only true band geek at my school.
