I've got a trumpet and the tunning slide keeps getting stuck. Can anyone tell me how to prevent it from sticking.

say i think if you use oil on the slide that may work, or you my just have to clean it real good, and also if you cant get it off after or before you clean it you will have to take it to a insturment repare place to get it cleaned.i hope that works for you

You should use slide grease, not oil, on your tuning slide. If this doesn't help, look at it really close and see if it's bent or otherwise out-of-shape. If it is, take it to a professional to get it fixed.
