I see. Unfortunately I cannot say is it true or not. I suppose such magazines have some source of information, but I cannot say are they 100% reliable.
Perhaps you or someone else should test it to see if it works.

Of course seen from a scientific point of view, both singing and snoring are to do with throat, vocal chords and so on. It may be possible.
