Is the saxophone a woodwind or brass instrument. I have to do an assignment and all my friends say its brass, but I am pretty sure it is woodwind. Can anyone help?
Thanku

It is a woodwind because it uses a reed to produce the vibration for sound. A brass instrument would be a trumpet or any other instrument that uses a metal mouth piece without a reed.
