Which is not a genre of music: symphony, choir, or string quartet?

A type or category of music (e.g., sonata, opera, oratorio, art song, gospel, suite, jazz, madrigal, march, work song, lullaby, barbershop, Dixieland).

None of your choices are"genres". They are groups of instruments.

Sorry. Groups of instruments(symphony, string quartet) or people (choir). They can perform any genre, but are not a genre in itself.
