If you live in New York, the Donnell Library on 53rd st between 6th and 5th avenues had a great childrens section and the Librarians are a great help. Also you might try the Library for the performing arts at Lincoln Center - the Librarians there are also very helpful. If you live a in any big city I would start there with the library, if you are near a music conservatory, you could go to the school bookstore and ask whoever is working there to suggest something.
