Is there a fast way to learn chords and playing in different keys on the piano? I only know the key of C.

work on scales. i know it is boring, but it what all music is made of. Bits and pieces of scales. Then you apply these scales and keys to music. Just need to keep practicing.

A re-accuring theme I hear on this site are people looking for easy ways to do/learn things about music and performing. i'm sorry to say htere are no "quick fixes" in music. You either know how to play or you don't. If you don't/can't then practice is the only avenue to follow. No good musician got that way by accident (self-taught or not self-taught). They all practiced.

Maintube couldn't agree with you more.

Sightreading and counting have been quite a challenge.

Practice, practice and "all that Jazz"

Me again,

I was at work when I responded to this post, sight reading and counting, is a chanllenge, and there is no easy way.

Those of us who are beginners just need to keep at it - and we have to give ourselves a pep talk now and than.

I think learning to play the piano or any other instrument that you've always wanted to learn is exciting. Let's keep at it.
