Any of the three instruments you name are worthwhile and worthy instruments. You must realize that none of them are going to be "easy". I quote easy, because easy is a relative word in music. Some people want to know what an easy instrument is. Every instrument has its "easy" and "hard" areas. they yary.

I don't know if you can rent cellos, but if you can, why not take a few lessons and feel it out. Next take a few piano lessons.

deciding what to play.
I'm learning to play the piano, so you can see it was kind of hard not to sort of hint, hint.
As for the cello, I have no idea if you can rent them or not, just like to toss ideas around, some make sense, some don't. I know that you can rent pianos, in New York City, don't know about other cities or countries.
Go for it and keep in touch and let us know how things are going.
