Since I have only years 11 and 12 left at school, and I am looking to join the school orchestra, I was wondering what would be a good instrument to start on, something that is 'easy' to learn but fun to play (I am a quick learner, and I can already play the piano =P). Any suggestions?

Don't get hung up on trying to find the perfect instrument for you right away. Bottom line: Play what you like, and like what you play.

i also agree ^^ You'll be able to pick up on it alot quicker.. But if you want to play something else besides that.. then if you're up for the challenge, you can probably pick anything
good luck.
