4-5 trumpets
4-5 bones
1 drummer
1 bass player
1 guitar
1 piano
1-2 extra percussion as needed (conga, bongos, vibes)

You can have all kinds of jazz combos from 3 to whatever. Your question asked about "big band". This is the instrumentation for them. If ya don't like the answer don't ask the question.

Steve specifically asked about "big Band" which is a Jazz music format. Giving out a nonsense answer is quite frankly stupid. If you can't give a relevant answer to a relevant question, or don't know an answer, then stay out of the way.
