Do any of you have any input on why the medium of music is a form of information and protest (as well as entertainment).

thanks!

because music is a universal language - everybody, on some level, listens to and likes music. The best mediums are those that reach the most people, and music reaches everybody. Poetry's not as good a medium not because the writes are less educated or they are writing less meaningful or important things. It's a lesser medium because less people enjoy poetry, and therefore, the poems reach fewer people.
