I am adult who just started taking piano lessons a month & a half ago. I am having the hardest time memorizing the notes on the Grand Staff. I want to be able to recognize them by sight. I can figure out the notes, but I want to be able to see a note on the third line up on the Treble Clef and know it is "B" without going through "Every Good Boy Does Fine." Does anyone have any good methods to accomplish that? Or am I expecting too much too soon?

Practice makes perfect! The only way to learn them is by using them. Unless you have a photographic memory(like Ken Jennings)
