my son has to describe the timbre of certain instruments for homework we r lost. could some one give my some descriptive words for the harmonica electric guitar, and piano. thank you for your help

Timbre is very hard to descibe in words. Everyone knows what each of these instruments sound like, but in words? I feel this is a silly assignment. Harmonica- reedy, airy Electric guitar- twangy. strident, chordal piano- tinkly, hammerlike. Best I can do.
