Hello, I am a pretty experienced guitar player who never took any lessons and kind of learned on my own. Recently, I've become very interested in playing the piano but I'm worried that I will have to take lessons to learn. I've been trying to learn to read music but I'm pretty lost. What do you suggest?

All you have to do is approach the piano in the same manner.

I'm pretty sure you remember how you learned chord positions on the fretboard of your guitar. Well, just learn the chord positions on the keyboard in the same manner.

You shouldn't have any problems.
