what instrument does the orchestra tune to and how many strings and pedals does a harp have

most ORCHESTRAS tune to the oboe or 1st violin. Oboe becuase it is the mosr difficult to tune.

Tube is correct. Orchestras take the A from the 1st Oboe. If it is a string orchestra, the concertmaster will play an open A.

As for the number of pedals and strings on a harp....man i have no idea...might as well be asking how many licks to the center of a tutsie pop. hehe just kidding.
