I'm a trumpet player. However, my band frequently need a trombone player and I've picked up a flugelbone in B flat for the job.
Problem is I don't know Bass Clef.
SO, I know Bass Clef is in "C" but the music is written for a trombone - is it still "C" or B flat"?
So, do I transpose up 1 step. So, my normal C is a D or is it 3 steps where my normal C is an F ?
Confused? Yep, I am.
Thanks
Mike
