I'm learning to play guitar and I had a total mental lapse. I feel like such a retard. I'm working on 1 4 5 combinations and now I for my next lessons I have a 6 thrown in there and sometimes a 2. Ahh! I can't remember what notes some of them are supposed to be. Stupid huh? Can someone help me?

Well, I feel even more dumb. I've only been taking guitar lessons for a couple of months and I don't have a clue what a 1 4 5 combination is, let alone a 6 and a 2!

I just figured it out. Now I feel dumb again. I knew it was from the do ra me thing, but I couldn't figure it out. A 1 4 5 is where the 1 is a do, 4 is fa, and 5 is so. I've been doing one with the G, C, and D chords. I couldn't figure out what notes were 6 or 2. If I used G, C & D then 6 is E and 2 is A. Does that make any sense? I hope so. Well, now I just have to put them in different orders and make it sound interesting.
