#beginquote# Hello. In 6/8 time each eighth note gets one beat and there are six of them in a measure. Beats one and four are most often the strong beats. (ONE two three FOUR five six). Try chanting that pattern to yourself repeatedly saying one and four louder to get a feel for the meter. Often times music that is written in 6/8 has many dotted quarter notes which take up half of the measure. I hope these ideas help. It is difficult to help long distance. #endquote#
